Jennifer--It might be one of those shows that you have to watch all the time, without missing a beat, to get anything out of it--It took my husband FOREVER to get into it (frustrating for me, the super fan), but now he's into it more than I am--LOL! It reminds both of us of his old office--ha ha ha!
I'm sure to many, this episode probably felt like a bit of a letdown--many people expected more after a nearly five month absence. I think it was a very good episode. Keep in mind that this episode was already written before the strike and they were starting production the week the strike started, so they had to finish it.
Next week, the action will jump ahead by a month, so hopefully we'll see more of the Office gang in action.
And yes, I agree that The Office is a show that you must watch EVERY episode to get all of the jokes. It is not your standard sitcom (which is why I love it), so you can't just pick it up any random week.
so i just watch tonight's episode & am still in love as if it were day one of the office! i don't think the last 2 eps were as side splitting as the ones pre-writer's strike, but STILL! um, hullo?! jim's gonna ask pam to marry him!!! maybe i'll get to watch w/ the pfaffls again one day...

I've never cared for it, but for no reason. Just always busy when it comes on. I do love the dry humor. Last night was good.
