Basking in the Glow

We finally started decorating our house for Christmas this past weekend and, even though the guy we bought our tree from cut off the entire bottom of our poor tree, I'm love, love, loving every bit of it. Every night, we dim the lamps and light our Advent candles. We watch whatever classic Christmas movie is on, drink hot chocolate and just relax. I love this time of year!
The best thing about this Christmas season is that Landon is really getting into it. He has been reminding us for the past couple of weeks that HE was going to be the one to put the angel on the tree. He's already talking about what kind of cookies we're going to leave out for Santa and he's memorized every word of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". It's great that Christmas becomes magical all over again when you have kids!

Your house is beautiful!!!!!

We too sit around with the lights turned low, watch the Christmas shows, and Kurt actually made me the best hot chocolate. Landon is so adorable.. and your stories of him are great. Just the few months difference in age from my Landen and yours makes a big difference. My little guy is so into the snow!

Wonderful pictures. I have to end this because someone is biting me HARD while nursing (grr) and hitting the keyboard. It took me almost ten minutes to write these two comments. Ahh! =)

"SHARN"--When are you guys going to be here???? (I cannot wait!)

Andrea--My house isn't beautiful--It's actually filled with carpet stains and scattered toys and who knows what else...but, at night, during the Christmas season, it looks nice-So, I can dim the lights the way we love them to be and post a quick pic--Ha ha ha!

LoL! Maybe you do have carpet stains, and toys, but that's a house of love with a child. It just looks so nicely decorated and cute! My house is mismatched, old and filled with stains and children. I think your house is beautiful though and no matter what you say - I WILL THINK THAT!! Ha ha! Love ya.
